Outreach in Ghana: Library Construction | 2024

Power of Millennials was started by a family that has always believed in giving back together. We visited Abubakar Sidiq Islamic School with 399 students, and are commencing a project with Hopeworks Ghana, an NGO in Accra, Ghana, where we will convert a classroom into a fully supplied library and computer lab. Although the teachers and staff are doing a fantastic job at educating these students, the headmistress of the school explains why they need a library. The students at this school are taught English, Arabic, and French with the hopes that they can go anywhere in the world and easily adapt to a new environment. With a brand new library, they would be able to expand their vocabulary, learn about different countries, cultures, and cuisines, and have access to newfound knowledge. This will provide them with a higher chance of becoming successful in whichever career path they decide to pursue. This will be one of our ongoing projects for 2024, and we appreciate any support or donations you can provide to us. Thank you in advance.

East New York Community Resource Fair on May 1st from 11am-4pm

Power of Millennials will be joining Brooklyn Community Services for an amazing resource fair on May 1st. This event will feature several organizations coming together to provide key resources to the community especially families and individuals suffering from housing insecurity and asylum seekers. The flyer below has all of the details you will need. Please fill out our contact form if you would like to donate any food items, clothing, or other resources for this event. We are also accepting volunteers. This event will be in the East New York community of Brooklyn, NY.

"A Christmas Experience" is an annual Christmas party for children ages 0-17 in Metro Atlanta. We hope that anyone in need of extra joy in their holiday season joins us for this extravaganza. We provide food, beverages, games, a Santa to take pictures, a photo booth, prizes, music, and much more. We want to thank Zoar United Methodist Church in Snellville, GA for allowing us to host our event again. The address of the event is 3895 Zoar Church Rd SW, Snellville, GA 30039, and the event will be in the gymnasium. Thanks to one of our donors, Toys for Tots, we can continue to expand on this event every year. We wish to provide these children with toys, electronics, and clothing that will allow them to enjoy their holiday season to the fullest. This isn’t just about giving away toys but creating happy memories that these children will hold dear in their hearts. Since this is a party meant for the children to enjoy, gifts will not be distributed until you leave. We hope that your family will come out this year to enjoy our wonderful party with us. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE PRESENT AT THE EVENT TO RECEIVE A GIFT. NO ONE CAN PICK UP A GIFT FOR ANYONE WHO IS NOT AT THE EVENT. The Eventbrite page where you can register your children for the event will be available in early October 2024, and can only be found on our website. Due to the volume of requests we receive for toys, we can only guarantee toys for families that RSVPed on our Eventbrite.
